    Here I am drawing the bottom plate outline with a marking pen. Notice that it is a bit oversize, allowing for a final outline to be drawn and finished later on (after the rib structure is completed).
..Cutting the rough outline with a small band saw.
   Next, I have used bottled hide glue to glue the bottom plate wood to the pattern support with the manila folder paper glue dots and am applying clamps. It is important that all edges be in firm contact with the base plate.
   All clamped up and drying
overnight.
    The next day, I mount the bottom plate to my duplicating router and am roughing out the external surface to the master mold I made after hand carving my original violin from the templates in Herrin_Allen's book 'Violin Making as it Was'.
