12/2017 Comments : The verdict is that although the concept was worthy of investigation, this combination of woods and the many glue joints, and the structural weakness of interrupting length of the wood strips at the center point (sound post point) instead of continuing the full length across the instrument; combined to make a lack of tonal quality necessary for a successful instrument. It still is pretty to look at however....
