,,With the rib structure into the master mold (correct side up of course), carefully fit and glue in thin pieces and attach with hot melt glue for a temporary internal brace (later to be removed after gluing to the back plate permanently.)
[Called the La Duke Strait Jacket after its inventor, Salem, Oregon violin maker Thomas La Duke.]
..When completely cooled, gently push the braced rib structure out of the exterior mold.
..We are now ready to define the finished outlines of the top and bottom plates...
{Shown here after permanently gluing rib structure to the completed back plate.}
Here, I am breaking the 'glue dots' joint seperating the back plate from the router support. Use special seperating flat knifes (not sharp) and wood wedges, working around perimeter until free.
In this view, you can see how many glue dots were used to securely hold down the plate, as well as the seperation knife and wedges.
