These are my thickness set-up gages (marked in mm). I made these of various thicknesses of brass shim stock, riveted together. The match the thickness areas of the two plates and range from 4.5mm to 2.0 mm with 0.25 mm and two thinner shims that can be added to thicker shim stacks for minor changes in thickness.
..These are used with drill press to set drill depth for graduation hole drilling.
With all the holes drilled on the back plate we see how our plate appears now on both sides.
And this is how the top plate appears at this stage. (Opus # 16 top plate shown.)
