..Enough thickness is left in the four corner blocks for a secure fit with the glue liner strips.
..The pre-heat bent glue liner strips are now fitted to each joint. Mark each one for identification and put a line on the completed joint to the liner strip from the mold (see black line in photo) for a reference for positioning glue liner strip during the gluing process.
..The liner strip is then beveled to the layout lines we have measures and the angle is cut with a very fine full saw (in back ground).
..The purpose of these joints is to allow for sound transfer from each plate to the other side... sound travels down the grain of the liner strips and via the tight angle joint through the blocks and to the liner strip on the other side, where it can interact with that plate...
..The very fine pull saw can also be used to cut several of the layout lines in the blocks (shape permitting).
..Then use the knife to remove as much of the waste wood as possible...File out the remainder leaving a tight fit with the liner strip angle joint. sSrive for a light press fit joint.
